Caroline Summerfest continued to ride the wave of success with another strong turnout for its 31st annual end-of-summer festival in downtown Denton Friday, Aug. 16, and Saturday, Aug. 17. The two-day free summer celebration was held on Market Street between 1st and 3rd streets. This year’s event featured a circus theme, “Surf’s Up.” A host of state officials visited Caroline Summerfest Saturday, including Gov. Larry Hogan, Lt. Gov. Boyd Rutherford, Maryland Democratic Party Chairwoman Dr. Maya Rockeymoore Cummings and Maryland Democratic Party Executive Director Ben Smith. Photos by Times-Record Editor Dustin Holt.
