GREENSBORO — The Town and Country Club of Greensboro purchased two table and chair sets for the North County Branch of the Caroline County Public Library recently.

The group regularly supports the branch by purchasing books for children. But this year, when library staff identified a need for tables and chairs for café-type seating in the lobby outside the library’s entrance, the club offered to fund the purchase of the furniture.

The cafe provides additional space for learning as well as for socialization. Individuals may choose to sit with their devices and work, or surf the Internet, while having a snack or something to drink. It also provides a place for individuals to work when the library is not open but the Community Center building is.

“The Town and Country Club of Greensboro is a wonderful partner and donor to the library and the community, and their generosity is much appreciated,” a press release stated.
