RIDGELY — The Ridgely Historical Society announced the winners of the 10th annual Ridgely Christmas Decorating Contest.

The six homes selected are first-time winners. The selections for 2018 included both traditional and festive decorated homes and one business — 7 Oakview Court, 202 Sunrise Avenue, 204 Sunrise Avenue, 309 Maryland Avenue, 312 Maryland Avenue, 311 Park Avenue, 7 Caroline Avenue, 210 W. First Street, 6 Liberty Lane, 7 W. Belle Street, 16 Lister Lane, 113 Lister Lane and 216 N. Central Avenue.

On Saturday evening, Dec. 22, judges selected by the Ridgely Historical Society drove by all the homes and businesses in the Town of Ridgely’s city limits to judge Christmas lights and decorations. The event has grown from five winners in 2009 to thirteen winners selected this year.

Cash and prizes were awarded to the 2018 winners, including gift certificates to either the Ridgely Pharmacy and Ice Cream Parlor, 9 Central Diner, All About Hair, Tri-Me Warehouse Foods, Hutchison Building & Supply, Rob’s Quality Car Care and Strawberry Blonde.

The Ridgely Historical Society and the Ridgely Lions Club thanks the businesses for sponsoring the contest, and thanks the community for participating in the contest.
