CASA of Caroline

DENTON — CASA of Caroline recently announced its new Dine For a Child Dining Series.

The series will allow the community to dine at a favorite restaurant while supporting a great cause.

The program begins Thursday, July 11 at Katie Mae’s, located at 201 Main St. in Preston. Katie Mae’s will be donating a portion of their sales from the entire to CASA of Caroline.

Katie Mae’s serves breakfast from 6 tp 10 a.m., lunch from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m., and dinner from 4 to 8 p.m. Their menu features everything from omelets and pancakes to soups and salads, burgers, pizza and pasta as well as an amazing selection of desserts including Vanderwende’s Creamery ice cream.

Staff and board members from CASA of Caroline will be on-hand throughout the day to answer any questions about CASA, and an anonymous donor has generously agreed to match up to $300 of the money raised. These funds will assist us in better serving the children and citizens of Caroline County.

CASA of Caroline works to ensure every abused and neglected child in Caroline County has a safe and stable home by giving them a voice in the system through a CASA (court appointed special advocate).

The CASA’s assist the courts in protecting the best interests of every child in our community. In the 15 years since our inception, CASA have served more than 150 children and recruited and trained more than 100 volunteers who have donated over 75,000 hours of their own time.

CASA of Caroline is unique in not only enriching the lives of the children we serve but also enriching the lives of our volunteers through the work they do. We are currently enrolling for our fall training class, scheduled to begin Sept. 23.

Start your day with breakfast, treat yourself to lunch and/or take a night off from cooking and stop by Katie Mae’s in Preston on Thursday, July 11 to dine in support of CASA of Caroline and all the children of Caroline County whose voices deserve to be heard.

Stay tuned for additional dates and locations of our exciting Dine For a Child Series. For more information, contact CASA of Caroline at 410-479-8301 or visit us online at www.carolinecasa.org or on Facebook.
