DENTON — North Caroline High School’s custodial staff was recognized at the Caroline County Board of Education’s meeting Tuesday, Aug. 6, for achieving a perfect score on a recent inspection by the Maryland Risk Assessment Program.

Lisa Spencer, risk manager with the Maryland Association of Boards of Education (MABE), awarded the custodial staff, as well as members of the Caroline County Public Schools support services maintenance staff, with certificates.

Spencer said schools are rigorously inspected in 15 comprehensive categories; of 131 schools inspected, only five achieved a perfect score.

Milton Nagel, assistant superintendent for administrative services, noted that while all Caroline County schools and the support services center have earned consistently high scores from the MABE program, this year NCHS garnered a perfect score.
