The National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration’s (NOAA) Climate Prediction Center forecasts a 75-percent chance that this year’s hurricane season will be near- or above-normal, according to the company’s May press release. Precautionary measures are advised by the Red Cross as hurricane season runs from June 1 to November 30.
