STEVENSVILLE — Queen Anne’s County Commissioner Mark Anderson, from District 4, has endorsed Chris Corchiarino, who ousted Anderson in the Republican primary. He faces Democrat Deborah Krueger in the general election.
Anderson called Corchiarino a good guy, and a strong family man.
“I’ve taken measure of Chris, and he’s measured up. He’s a good listener. As an attorney, he’s been trained to be a good listener. As he is, Chris is ready to serve right now,” Anderson said, adding that the two have discussed issues to come before the county commissioners.
“Chris is an independent thinker,’ Anderson added. “He’s not going to be French fries for someone else’s Big Mac, if you understand what I mean? He’ll listen to the people he represents, and vote for what’s best for the county, not any special interest groups. I’m confident of that.”
Corchiarino said, “Mark has shared with me information he sees as issues on the horizon and information on the operations of various county departments. This has been information as background and context only. I respect Mark’s desire to share his information with me, while appreciating my need to exercise independent judgement.”
