FRUITLAND — Macy Dill scored two goals and Arlie Paden and Bayleigh Perdue each provided assists Sunday, helping ShoreFC/Salisbury United SC Velocity Black to a 2-0 victory over the 10th-ranked Potomac Blue02 in the Eastern Development Program league.
Shore FC/Salisbury United SC improved to 3-0 heading into its showdown with fifth-ranked Baltimore Celtic on Oct. 25.
SFC/SUSC was also led offensively by Leila Robinson, Sia Diakos, Sara Nichols, McKenna Pritchett, Kaitlyn Underwood and Gabby Izzett, and defensively by Ella Briggs, Maddie Rush, Isa Kreutner, Ashley Wildt, Alexis Brooks, Maddie Bean and Chelsea Walter. Alyssa Dabolish made seven saves in goal for the shutout.
ShoreFC/SUSC is a combined 19U travel soccer team between both clubs, pulling players from 12 high schools in Maryland — Queen Annes, Kent Island, North Caroline, Saints Peter and Paul, Easton, Parkside, James M. Bennett and Stephen Decatur — and Delaware — St. Andrews, Indian River, Sussex Tech and Sussex Central.
