QUEENSTOWN — Two tractor trailers, one hauling grain, were involved in a collision at U.S. 50 eastbound at U.S. 301 Monday, Jan. 28 at 11:20 a.m.

According to Sgt. Willoughby of the Maryland State Police, no injuries were reported, but there was a fuel spill by one of the vehicles and one spilled its load of grain.

Along with the Maryland State Police, the Queenstown Volunteer Fire Department with other local fire departments arrived at the scene. The Maryland Department of the Environment also responded to to assist in cleanup efforts that led to a lane closure for six hoursn.

One tractor trailer was towed from the scene by a heavy duty wrecker. The cause of the collision is still under investigation.
