STEVENSVILLE — The Queen Anne’s County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a case of identity theft.

Kevin Saunders of Long Point Road reported Jan. 8 that someone had opened a Home Depot credit card using his personal information. The card was used to purchase $737.06 in goods at a Home Depot in the Bronx, New York, Saunders said.

He also reported the fraud to the credit card company, which is investigating, police said.
