STEVENSVILLE — The inflatable unicorn sprinkler is back at Rita’s Italian Ice and Frozen Custard in Kent Landing Shopping Center after a joy ride.

The colorful, 5-foot toy, valued at $150, was stolen from the business Monday, June 3, at 10:52 a.m. by three unidentified females in a black Jeep, according to the Queen Anne’s County Sheriff’s Office. They were seen on security camera video leaving with the unicorn sticking out of the sunroof.

Rita’s owner Linda Austin posted a photo of the vehicle on the store’s Facebook page saying she wouldn’t press charges if the unicorn sprinkler was returned and warning the culprits she had pictures of them as well.

The sprinkler is a promotion for Rita’s new unicorn flavor and is being raffled off along with several other large, inflatable unicorns.

At 9:18 p.m. Monday, Austin posted that the unicorn sprinkler had been returned.
