GRASONVILLE — An Odenton man was charged with driving under the influence after Deputy Chris Carnaggio spotted his car illegally parked with its lights on and engine running on Main Street in Grasonville.

When he approached the white Cadillac Escalade about 2:40 a.m. Sept. 8, the deputy saw the driver was unconscious behind the wheel, police said. He woke up the driver, identified as Mark Stone, 48.

Stone told Carnaggio his driver's license was suspended, police said. Carnaggio smelled alcohol on Stone's breath and emanating from the car, so he conducted field sobriety tests, which Stone failed, police said.

Stone was arrested and charged with driving under the influence and issued a traffic citation for driving on a suspended license. He was released to a sober driver.
