Mobile home fire causes extensive damage

A fire was reported at a mobile home trailer at 1906 Busic Church Road in Marydel at approximately 4:45 p.m. on Saturday, June 20.

MARYDEL — A fire caused extensive damage to a mobile home at 1906 Busic Church Road in Marydel, Queen Anne’s County. The fire was reported by the homeowner shortly before 5 p.m. on Saturday, June 20.

The mobile home trailer, owned by Warren and Evelyn Watson, was unoccupied at the time of the fire. The mobile home was not the owner’s primary residence, but was being used for storage purposes.

Firefighters from the Sudlersville Volunteer Fire Company responded to the scene, where it took approximately 50 firefighters an hour to tame the blaze.

The Office of the State Fire Marshal reported an estimated $50,000 worth of damage to the structure and contents.
