The driver, Theresa Fountain, 67, of Chester, had trouble keeping her balance and slurred speech when questioned, police said. She also was given field sobriety tests, then charged.
Later, Pack saw a vehicle traveling slowly and weaving back and forth in its lane and onto the shoulder of Route 18 near Kent Narrows Way in Grasonville, police said. He stopped the vehicle at 1:52 a.m. Aug. 17 and spoke with the driver, Megan Robinson, 38, of Chester.
He reported she had slurred speech and smelled of alcohol. She also was given field sobriety tests, then charged.
Traffic citations were also issued in each case, police said.
