CENTREVILLE — The famed American painter Charles Willson Peale, who was born right here in Queen Anne’s County, will be featured in “Defending Delmarva During the American Revolution,” a program at the Centreville branch of the Queen Anne’s County Library from 3 to 4 p.m. April 15, which coincides with his birthday.

Join Peale’s re-enactor Phil Webster as we explore the rich American Revolutionary history of the Delmarva. Peale was an American painter, soldier, scientist, inventor, politician and naturalist/ He is best remembered for his portrait paintings of the leading figures of the American Revolution, and for establishing one of the first museums in the United States..

Registration will be required for this unique program in celebrating the American Revolutionary spirit and Charles Willson Peale’s birthday.
