STEVENSVILLE — An 18-year-old girl was arrested Friday, Dec. 31 for driving under the influence after colliding with a parked vehicle, according to the Queen Anne’s County Office of the Sheriff.
Alexis Armes of Stevensville was charged with driving under the influence of alcohol and driving while impaired by alcohol.
Sheriff’s deputies responded to the 200 block of Ackerman Road at approximately 9:57 p.m. following reports of a motor vehicle collision.
Police made contact with Armes and “due to indicators observed,” asked her to complete a field sobriety test, according to the Sheriff’s office. Armes refused to take the test and was subsequently placed under arrest.
Armes’ passenger, Morgan Hood of Stevensville, was checked by police, who found less than 10 grams of marijuana on her person. Police said Hood was issued a civil citation and released on her signature.
Armes was released to a sober party later that night.
