CENTREVILLE — Queen Anne’s County Public Schools Superintendent Andrea M. Kane has congratulated Deputy Superintendent Greg Pilewski on accepting his first superintendency in Little Rock, Arkansas.

On Monday, Aug. 17, the North Little Rock Board of Education named Pilewski the superintendent of the North Little Rock School District. Pilewski served as deputy superintendent, interim superintendent and assistant superintendent since coming to QACPS in 2015. He also held administrative and leadership positions in Anne Arundel County and Baltimore County Public Schools, after beginning his career as a social studies teacher in London, Ohio, and Maryland.

Kane also announced Chief Financial Officer John Pfister is departing QACPS to return to Anne Arundel County Public Schools.

“I am most grateful for their service to Queen Anne’s County Public Schools. Their dedication to me as superintendent and their friendship predates their time in QACPS and will certainly continue,” Kane said. “Both served this school district with professionalism under very challenging conditions. North Little Rock and Anne Arundel are gaining skilled, compassionate, and dedicated leaders. Our loss is their gain. We wish Mr. Pilewski and Mr. Pfister well in the next phase of their careers. They will be missed.”
