CENTREVILLE — Superintendent Dr. Patty Saelens welcomed over seventy-five, school administrators and family members, to help celebrate the retirement of several Queen Anne’s County Public Schools staff members. The celebration was planned for the 35 retirees from the 2021-22 school year, including 21 support personnel (maintenance, custodial, finance, bus drivers, secretaries, and school assistants) and 14 certificated staff. The retirees were recognized for their countless hours of dedication and service to the students of Queen Anne’s County. Collectively, there were 806 years of service, which is approximately 22 years of service on average.
Saelens commented, “It is nice to have an opportunity to truly recognize the dedication and commitment this group of individuals has had on so many of our students over many years of service. We wish them all the best as they move on to the next chapter of their lives.”
