CENTREVILLE — The Soistman Family Dentistry Scholarship Fund was established by Dr. Jonathan T. Soistman of Soistman Family Dentistry and Associates in 2017. This is the fourth year Soistman Family Dentistry has been able to award these scholarships to outstanding students. The scholarships are awarded to seniors of the graduating class from Kent Island High School, Queen Anne's County High School and Easton High School. The total scholarship fund is $4,500 split between the three schools.

This year five outstanding students were carefully selected and awarded these scholarships. All five students demonstrated determination, hard work, and a passion to succeed and achieve a goal for their future, Soistman Family Dentistry said in a news release. These students have gone above and beyond the minimum requirements for high school. All scholars participated in extracurriculars, pushed themselves to study AP and Honors courses, and were all extremely involved in volunteering to help their community and give back.

Not only do all of the students selected have a goal to attend and complete college but they each have a vision for their life after graduating. The scholars don’t just want to acquire a degree but want to use their degree to make an impact.
