CENTREVILLE — Queen Anne’s County Public Schools welcomed this month Jane K. Towers CPA, MS as Chief Financial Officer. Towers comes to Queen Anne’s with over 20 years’ experience in business, public and nonprofit environments, including eight of years in a K-12 school system as an accountant and Supervisor of Finance. Her experience includes budgeting, procurement, auditing, financial management, restricted accounting, payroll, and risk management.
Towers resides in Greensboro with her husband of 25 years. They have two adult children — their son is a graduate from Xavier University and currently works for Johns Hopkins Health System and their daughter is a junior enrolled with Seidel School of Education at Salisbury University in their elementary education program.
The Board of Education also extended Janet Pauls position as acting superintendent. Superintendent Dr. Andrea Kane remains on documented leave, said board president Tammy Harper.
