GET A LIBRARY CARD

You can apply for a library card at either branch by presenting ID with proof of your current address. Accepted ID is a valid Maryland driver’s license, learner’s permit or identification card. ID such as printed checks or recently postmarked mail with a current address will be considered upon request.

Queen Anne’s County Library cards are free for Maryland residents and are valid for five years.

FUN FOR KIDS

LITTLE HANDS ART — That same age group of 2-5 will come to the Library on Friday, Nov. 15, at 10:30 a.m. to create a special art project geared toward little ones.

BABY PLAYTIME — Bring your babies (ages birth to 2, with caregiver) on Tuesday, Nov. 19, at 10 a.m., when we will have toys for babies to play with and it will provide a great opportunity for caregivers to socialize with others.

TURKEY TALES — A special turkey and Thanksgiving-themed story time will be at the Library for ages 2-5 with caregiver on Wednesday, Nov. 20, at 10:30 a.m. This will also be followed by a craft.

THANKSGIVING

HOLIDAY

The Library will close at 5 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 27, and be closed all day Thursday, Nov. 28, and Friday, Nov. 29, of Thanksgiving week.

COMMUNITY WELLNESS

We continue to have free health screenings by representatives of the health department on the first Monday of the month from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Please check with the circulation desk as this event switches between the two county libraries.

MAKE AND TAKE

Drop by the Children’s Room of the Library anytime from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 7, to make a luminary using paper, cups, and a LED tea light.
