9th annual concert celebrating Dr. King to be held Saturday

MILLINGTON — The ninth annual “Lift up our Voices in Song” concert honoring the work and legend of the Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. is being held at 2 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 11.

The musical event, started by the Rev. Clarence Hawkins, features local groups and soloists. This year’s lineup includes the Potters House Praise Team, the New Gospelites, the Chester River Chorale Chamber Singers, John Paollela, the 4-Strings-4-Him Uke Group and much more.

“Lift up Our Voices in Song” will be held at Graves Chapel, 10280 Big Stone Road, Millington. Admission is free, with free-will offerings accepted. Refreshments will be served.

Hosted by the Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Annual Observance and Breakfast Committee, the event is supported by the Chester Valley Ministers’ Association and the Kent County Arts Council.
