STEVENSVILLE — Dozens of cars were reportedly vandalized at Kent Island High School. According to police, on Thursday, May 20, the school resource officer was contacted by school officials when they discovered multiple vehicles marked in orange paint with a drawing of a male body part.
The officer located the suspect who admitted to the vandalism. In all, it was determined that 82 vehicles were vandalized while parked at the high school. The suspects father was contacted and later arrived at the school and immediately took custody of the juvenile. Police said the school administration has issued disciplinary measures against the suspect.
After the Sheriff’s Office consulted with the State Attorney’s Office, a determination was made to charge the juvenile with one count of malicious destruction of property scheme and one count of disruption of school activity.
The investigation is ongoing as additional information continues to be obtained.
