STEVENSVILLE — The Queen Anne’s County Sheriff’s Office is investigating thefts from several vehicles that apparently occurred in the overnight hours of Sunday, May 15.
Thomas J. Thelen of Stevensville told investigators that someone had smashed the passenger window of his truck in the 300 block of Oxbow Drive and rummaged the cab and glove compartment, police said. Nothing was missing, but damages were estimated at $200, according to police.
A second call was received from Savanna Britton of Chester who said the passenger window of her vehicle had been smashed in the 100 block of Beachside Drive in Stevensville and that $15 in change was taken, police said. Damages were estimated at $200, according to police.
Another call came from Paul Kilroy of Stevensville who said that a window in his truck parked in the 400 block of South Lake Court had been broken and an Asus laptop computer and four cartons of cigarettes were taken, police said. Damages were estimated at $500 and the theft loss was put at $1,420, according to police.
Merton Rice of Stevensville said his truck in the 300 block of Calvert Road had a broken window and pry marks on the door, police said. A few dollars were taken but damages were estimated at $1,000, according to police.
