CAMBRIDGE — The Eastern Shore Dance Academy presents “Iconic” — its 12th annual recital.

The recital will take place at 6 p.m. Saturday, May 21, and at 3 p.m. Sunday May 22 at the Cambridge-South Dorchester High School Auditorium. Tickets at the door are $13 for adults and $8 for children 11 and under. Children 1 and under are free.

Advanced ticket sales are available at the Eastern Shore Dance Academy office located at 3093 Beverly Lane at a discounted rate of $10 for adults and $6 for children 11 and under. The community also may purchase one ticket for both shows for $18 for adults or $9 for children.

“Iconic” will consist of dancers ages 1 to 18 performing many dance styles such as hip-hop, ballet, jazz, tap, modern, musical theatre, African and Praise. “Both shows are totally different and full of excitement,” said owner and artistic director Jessica Hindman-Wheatley. “Our shows get better and better every year and it’s a chance for the community to see the outstanding talent the youth of the Eastern Shore has to offer.”

“Come on out and support the young people of Dorchester who have been preparing to wow you with the training they’ve received throughout the dance season,” Hindman-Wheatley said. “We’re counting on our community; see you there.”

ESDA will be moving to its new facility this summer on Aireys Spur Road. Eastern Shore Dance Academy is accepting new students and is offering classes such as ballet, jazz, tap, hip hop, modern, contemporary, Praise, acrobatics, African, acting, yoga, creative movement and more.
