Legion supports scouting and overseas troops

From left are John Scudder, finance officer for American Legion Caroline Post 29; Wolf Scout Eric Ridgell; and Denton Pack 265 Cubmaster Bill Quick. Caroline American Legion Post 29 recently made a $1,000 donation to Denton Cub Scout Pack 265’s Military Donation popcorn sale, purchasing the popcorn for troops through Wolf Scout Eric Ridgell. Eric, a second-grader at Denton Elementary also earned enough commission on the sale to pay his own way to Pack 265’s annual weekend camping trip at the Henson Scout Reservation in Rhodesdale. If your 501 ©(3) organization would like to apply for a donation, contact Caroline Post 29 at 410-479-2708. Anyone interested in supporting both Scouts at home and the U.S. military overseas may send popcorn to the troops for $25. Contact Pack 265 Cubmaster Bill Quick at 410-924-2049 for details.
