SUDLERSVILLE — The public on Aug. 7 had a chance to comment on the proposed amendment concerning illegal, domestic use of water from private wells.
Ordinance 2019-01, introduced by the Sudlersville Town Commission, would add charges, penalties and abatement provisions and procedures related to the use of such wells.
The proposed legislation comes amid a number of complaints from residents concerning high water bills. For its part, the Town of Sudlersville has examined water meters and found them to be working properly.
Yet another project beset with development issues was a sewer extension that would connect the Town of Barclay into the Sudlersville public sewer treatment plant.
