CHESTERTOWN — Kent School’s Fall Fest and inaugural Osprey 5K run/walk are Sunday, Sept. 29. The 5K, which begins at 9 a.m., is described as a family-friendly event welcoming athletes at all levels of skill and experience.

The 5K replaces the Osprey Triathlon. The cost is $25.

The course will cover mixed surfaces, including pavement, gravel paths and some grassy areas. The race will start and finish on the Kent School campus, 6788 Wilkins Lane near Chestertown. All participants will receive a medal and commemorative T-shirt.

Racers under the age of 10 must be accompanied by a running partner at least 16 years old. For more information and to register, visit

Afterward, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., is the Fall Fest put on by the school’s Parents, Teachers and Friends Association. Admission is free, but there will be a small fee for some games and activities.

Among the offerings are carnival games, inflatable slides, a dunking booth, music and food vendors.
