MILLINGTON — Cheikh Oumar Sy, 21, Columbus, Ohio, on June 4, was charged with driving at speed exceeding limit; and failure to display license on demand.

He also was charged with taking another's credit card; and unlawfully receiving a credit card.

Sy was released after posting $2,500 bail.

Sy initially was stopped for speeding. He allegedly was driving 76 mph in a 55-mph zone. When police searched the vehicle that Sy was driving, they located a New Jersey woman's debit card that had been reported stolen, according to a sheriff's office news release.

Cpl. G. Travis Manning conducted the traffic stop at 4:04 p.m. on U.S. Route 301 at the 114-mile marker.

ROCK HALL — Darryl Lamonte Dorsey Jr., 29, Chestertown, on June 7, was charged with failure to drive on the right half of the roadway when required; driving while under the influence of alcohol; and driving while under the influence of alcohol per se.

He was released on personal recognizance.

Deputy Collin W. Shockley conducted the traffic stop at 11:45 p.m. on eastbound Rock Hall Road at Chesapeake Villa Road.

CHESTERTOWN — A 17-year-old female from the Millington area, on June 7, was referred to the Department of Juvenile Services on complaints of possession of marijuana, less than 10 grams; and underage possession of tobacco products. 

She was released into the custody of a parent.

Cpl. G. Travis Manning conducted the traffic stop at 11:51 p.m. on Flatland Road at state Route 20.

ROCK HALL — Hannah Emerson McHenry, 27, Chestertown, on June 9, was charged with failure to obey a lawful order while Cpl. Nate Blazejak was conducting a traffic stop.

McHenry was a passenger in the vehicle. She allegedly refused orders to stop interfering with field sobriety testing of the driver and to stop yelling in the street, according to a sheriff's office news release.

The driver, who was not identified, was released from the scene with a warning for an alleged traffic violation.

Cpl. Blazejak conducted the traffic stop at 12:01 a.m. on Williams Street near Haven Road.
