CHESTERTOWN — Felipe Pallares Hurtado, 32, Chestertown, on Aug. 16, was charged with driving while impaired; driving while under the influence; and driving while under the influence per se.
He was released after signing the traffic citations.
Cpl. Scott W. Lockerman conducted the traffic stop at 11:10 p.m. on Cross Street at Maple Avenue.
WORTON — Lyonel Lawayne Leon Green, 34, Worton, on Aug. 17, was charged with numerous traffic offenses after allegedly leading police on a high-speed chase.
He initially was held in the Kent County Detention Center without bail.
According to a sheriff's office news release, police attempted to stop Green for allegedly speeding in the Worton area. The chase ended shortly after 9 a.m. at a residence on Still Pond Road. Police reported that Green allegedly was driving 100 mph in a 50-mph zone.
The charges include: reckless driving; negligent driving; unsafe lane changing; failure to drive right of center; attempt by driver to elude uniformed police by failing to stop; and driving at speed exceeding the limit.
Cpl. Nate Blazejak conducted the traffic stop.
STILL POND — Cesar Nicholas De Los Santos Jr., 27, Washington, on Aug. 18, was charged with possession of a concealed handgun.
He was released on personal recognizance.
Police initially stopped De Los Santos for allegedly speeding. The handgun was located in a bag in the trunk, according to a sheriff's office news release.
Cpl. G. Travis Manning conducted the traffic stop at 11:12 a.m. on state Route 292 at Maple Avenue.
CHESTERTOWN — William Joseph Egan, 33, Chestertown, on Aug. 18, was issued citations charging him with driving while under the influence of alcohol; driving while under the influence of alcohol per se; and driving while impaired by alcohol.
PFC Martin Heinefield conducted the traffic stop at 10:41 p.m. on Rolling Road at Campus Avenue.
