Condition Update

BALTIMORE — Jose Luis Rodriguez, 41, of Millington is in serious condition at the University of Maryland Shock Trauma Center. He is being treated for injuries suffered in a single-vehicle crash Dec. 20 on state Route 291 near Chestertown.

MILLINGTON — Hunter Joseph Hickman, 23, Kennedyville, on Dec. 20, was charged with driving, attempting to drive while under the influence of alcohol; driving, attempting to drive while impaired by alcohol; reckless driving; negligent driving; failure to return to and remain at the scene of an accident involving damage; and failure of the driver in an accident to locate and notify owner of unattended vehicle or property of damage.

He is accused of striking a mailbox in the 100-block of School Street at 4:40 p.m. 

Hickman's vehicle, identified as a Dodge Dakota, was towed from the scene due to "debilitating front-end damage and leaking fluid," according to a sheriff's office news release.

WORTON — Brandon Lee Baker, 29, Rock Hall, on Dec. 31, was charged with driving while impaired by alcohol; driving while under the influence of alcohol; failure to display two lighted front lamps when required; and failure to display registration card upon demand by police officer.

He was released after signing the citations.

DFC Collin W. Shockley conducted the traffic stop at 11:21 p.m. on state Route 298 at Bottom Road. Baker initially was stopped for allegedly driving with an inoperable headlight.

CHESTERTOWN — Ira Zmarquest Stormy Helm III, 22, Centreville, on Jan. 2, was charged with possession of marijuana, greater than 10 grams.

He was released on personal recognizance.

Deputy Aquil Freeman conducted the traffic stop at 11:43 p.m. on state Route 291 at Buckingham Road.

MASSEY — Glenn Martin Davis Sr., 67, Millington, on Jan. 3, was charged with failure to drive on the right half of the roadway when required; driving while impaired by alcohol; and driving while under the influence of alcohol.

He was released after signing the citations.

Sgt. J. Nicholas Watson conducted the traffic stop at 10:22 p.m. on Black Bottom Road, north of Maryland Line Road.
