CRUMPTON — No injuries were reported from a single-vehicle crash Jan. 19 on Shine Smith Road at Pondtown Road.
Police identified the driver only as a 61-year-old Chestertown man.
According to a sheriff's office news release, the driver told police that "he took his eyes off the road to put something down. When he looked up, the vehicle had drifted off the road."
The vehicle, which struck a tree, sustained front-end damage, according to police.
The crash was at 6:47 p.m.
Deputy N. Means investigated.
CHESTERTOWN — A 16-year-old boy from the Chestertown area was not injured when the vehicle he was driving struck an electric box and a tree Feb. 2.
The crash occurred at 1:37 p.m. on Leverage Road. Police reported that the vehicle traveled off the road and into a ditch before striking the electric box and a tree.
The vehicle was disabled, according to police.
Deputy James Bradley investigated.
SUDLERSVILLE — Steven Shepard, 20, Millington, on Feb. 3, was charged with driving without a valid license and was issued a citation for possession of marijuana, less than 10 grams.
Shepard's passenger drove the vehicle from the scene, according to police.
Deputy T. Austin Patchett conducted the traffic stop at 12:10 a.m. on state Route 313 north of Roe Road.
