BURGLARY. Deputy Collin W. Shockley is investigating a June 27 burglary in the 8900-block of Georgetown Road, near Chestertown. The complainant told police that someone forced open a door and removed items with an estimated total value of $604.
THEFT. Lt. Dennis W. Hickman is investigating a June 28 reported theft of a personal check belonging to a Chestertown man and cashing of the forged check. Loss is estimated to be $1,800. A suspect has been identified, according to police.
THEFT. DFC Michael Piasecki is investigating a June 30 complaint of a rogue and a vagabond in the 4800-block of Skinners Neck Road, near Rock Hall. The complainant told police that someone removed batteries and a radio from his vehicle.
FTA. Daryl Vincent Porter, 32, Elkton, on July 2, was issued a circuit court body attachment for failure to appear in court. Bail initially was set at $400.
BURGLARY. Deputy Collin W. Shockley is investigating a July 2 burglary in the 7800-block of Country Club Lane, near Chestertown. The complainant reported that his garage door was forced open and a Harley Davidson Street Glide motorcycle was taken. The motorcycle, valued at $45,000, was later found in a wooded area on St. James Newtown Road, according to a sheriff's office news release.
PROBATION. Travon Edward Harding, 24, Chestertown, on July 3, was issued a circuit court arrest warrant charging him with violation of probation. He initially was held in the Kent County Detention Center without bail.
DISORDERLY. Jarod Douglas Faber, 38, Chestertown, on July 5, was charged with disorderly conduct and failing to obey a lawful order. The offenses are alleged to have occurred in the 2300-block of Baywood Court, near Fairlee. Faber was released on personal recognizance. DFC Parker L. Hudson investigated.
ASSAULT. Alicia Marie Barton, 37, Chestertown, and Kevia Tamira Exum, 34, Worton, on June 21, were each issued a summons for second-degree assault. The offense is alleged to have occurred June 16 in the 300-block of High Street.
BAD CHECK. Tammy Lynn Leader, 37, Chestertown, on June 27, was issued a summons charging her with passing a bad check, less than $100. The incident is alleged to have occurred in the 800-block of Washington Avenue.
MDOP. PFC Martin Heinefield is investigating a July 2 complaint of malicious destruction of property to playground equipment at Bailey Park. Cost to repair the damage is estimated to be more than $1,000.
RUNAWAY. A 15-year-old male from Chestertown, on July 8, was referred to the Department of Juvenile Services on a complaint of being a runaway. PFC Martin Heinefield investigated.
MDOP. Detective Christopher Pavon is investigating a July 8 complaint of malicious destruction of property to a mailbox in the 100-block of Flatland Road. Cost to repair the damage is estimated to be less than $300.
