FTA. Kiyan Lamar Hynson, 39, Chestertown, on Sept. 9, was issued a circuit court body attachment for failure to appear in court. Bail initially was set at $1,000.

ASSAULT. A 17-year-old girl from the Rock Hall area, on Sept. 9, was referred to the Department of Juvenile Services on a complaint of second-degree assault. She was identified as a student at Kent County High School and is accused of striking another female student in the head several times. A teacher intervened and separated the two students, according to a sheriff's office news release. Deputy Scott N. Metzbower investigated.

THEFT. Sgt. Stuart M. Lodge is investigating a Sept. 10 complaint of theft, $100 to less than $1,500. The complainant, identified as a Galena man, told police he paid for merchandise that he never received.

ASSAULT. Charles Franklin Dowd II, 46, Chestertown, on Sept. 10, was charged with second-degree assault. The complainant suffered minor injuries, according to a sheriff's office news release. The offense is alleged to have occurred on Bell Rose Lane, near Chestertown. Sgt. J. Nicholas Watson investigated.

ROBBERY. Kelly Jean White, 44, Rock Hall, on Sept. 10, was issued a Queen Anne's County District Court arrest warrant charging her with robbery. She was released into the custody of the Queen Anne's County Sheriff's Office.

PROBATION. Dennis Eugene Black, 39, Chestertown, on Sept. 12, was issued a circuit court arrest warrant charging him with violation of probation. He initially was held in the Kent County Detention Center without bail.

FTA. Shakeira Ky'Ja Wilson, 20, Worton, on Sept. 12, was issued a district court bench warrant for failure to appear in court. She was released on personal recognizance.

CONTEMPT. Lacira Chamar Wilson, 33, Chestertown, on Sept. 16, was issued a circuit court arrest warrant charging her with contempt of court. She initially was held in the Kent County Detention Center without bail.

MDOP. Angela Lynne Emory, 56, Milford, Del., on Sept. 16, was issued a district court summons for malicious destruction of property, having a value less than $1,000.

DRUGS. A 17-year-old male from the Chestertown area, on Sept. 16, was referred to the Department of Juvenile Services on a complaint of possession of marijuana. He was identified as a student at Kent County High School. A vape smoking device containing suspected marijuana oil was located in the student's vehicle in the KCHS parking lot, according to a sheriff's office news release. Deputy Scott N. Metzbower investigated.

DRUGS. A 17-year-old female from the Chestertown area, on Sept. 16, was referred to the Department of Juvenile Services on a complaint of possession of marijuana. She was identified as a student at Kent County High School. A vape smoking device containing suspected marijuana oil was located in the student's makeup-type bag, according to a sheriff's office news release. Deputy Scott N. Metzbower investigated.

Chestertown Police

THEFT. Detective Chris Pavon is investigating a Sept. 9 theft of a Coach bag from a vehicle in the 100-block of North Water Street.

ASSAULT. Cpl. Michelle Guerriero is investigating an assault that is alleged to have occurred Sept. 9 in Fountain Park.

THEFT. Christina Nicole Piver, 34, and Dennis Eugene Black, 39, on Sept. 10, were issued arrest warrants charging them with being a rogue and a vagabond and conspiracy to be a rogue and a vagabond. They allegedly rummaged through a vehicle in the 300-block of Cannon Street on Sept. 5. PFC Martin Heinefield investigated.

THEFT. Cpl. Michelle Guerriero is investigating a Sept. 11 theft in the 400-block of Morgnec Road. Loss is estimated to be less than $100.

THEFT. Officer Stacey Shockley is investigating a Sept. 14 theft in the 100-block of Devon Drive. Loss is estimated to be between $1,000 and $10,000.
