THEFT. Chief John Dolgos is investigating a July 16 report of personal identity theft in the 800-block of Washington Avenue.

FTA. Peyton Dallas Parks Jr., 26, Chestertown, on July 24, was issued a bench warrant for failure to appear in court.

THEFT. Brandon Dean Hannah, 25, Chestertown, on July 26, was charged with theft, less than $100; failure to obey a police officer; and resisting, interfering with arrest. The offenses are alleged to have occurred in the 200-block of Maple Avenue. Officer Quency Carmon investigated.

State Police

HARASS. Kareem Roderick, 23, Chestertown, on July 19, was issued a district court bench warrant for attempting to possess child pornography; and electronic harassment of a female under the age of 16. The offenses are alleged to have occurred in February. Roderick initially was held in the Kent County Detention Center without bail.

Kent County Sheriff

THEFT. Sgt. Stuart M. Lodge is investigating a July 21 theft of jewelry from a home in the 25000-block of Chinquapin Road, Worton. The jewelry subsequently was sold at a business in Delaware, according to police. A suspect has been identified.

BURGLARY. Stanley David Gatewood, 31, Middletown, Del., on July 21, was issued a circuit court arrest warrant charging him with first-degree burglary. He initially was held in the Kent County Detention Center without bail.

CONTEMPT. Jeffrey Dean Boulden, 33, Galena, on July 21, was issued two circuit court arrest warrants charging him with contempt of court. He initially was held in the Kent County Detention Center without bail.

FTA. Jeffrey Paul Santangelo, 51, Chestertown, on July 22, was issued a circuit court bench warrant for failure to appear in court. He initially was held in the Kent County Detention Center without bail.

FTA. DeJeune Kiearius Waits, 24, Chestertown, on July 22, was issued a district court bench warrant for failure to appear in court. She was released on personal recognizance.

DRUGS. Nathan Robert Brooks, 33, Elkton, on July 22, was issued a circuit court arrest warrant charging him with possession of a controlled dangerous substance with intent to distribute; possession of a controlled dangerous substance with intent to distribute in a school zone/school bus zone; possession of a controlled dangerous substance that is not marijuana (three counts); and possession of drug paraphernalia (four counts). He initially was held in the Kent County Detention Center without bail.

Also on July 22, Brooks was issued a Cecil County Circuit Court bench warrant for violation of probation. He initially was held in the Kent County Detention Center and the warrant was lodged as a detainer. 

DRUGS. Gregory Allen Wersten Jr., 33, Crumpton, on July 22, was charged with possession of a controlled dangerous substance that is not marijuana; and possession of drug paraphernalia. Cpl. Scott W. Lockerman was serving Wersten with a warrant for violation of probation when, during a search incident to arrest, Wersten was found to be in possession of suspected drugs, according to a sheriff's office news release. 

ASSAULT. DFC Parker Hudson is investigating a July 23 reported assault in progress on Worton Road, Worton. A suspect has been identified. The complainant was told she could file charges if she wished through the district court commissioner's office, according to a sheriff's office news release.

CONTEMPT. Ezra Calvin Kyle Jr., 34, Chestertown, on July 23, was issued two circuit court bench warrants for contempt of court. He initially was held in the Kent County Detention Center without bail.

ASSAULT. Franklin Cornelius Butler, 52, Galena, on July 23, was issued a district court summons for second-degree assault.

ASSAULT. Cpl. Philip E. Trinks on July 24 responded to the 21000-block of Sharp Street, Rock Hall, for a reported assault. The complainant told police that a verbal argument with two women led to a physical attack, and that she was struck in the head and face area. The complainant was told she could file charges through the district court commissioner's office if she chose to, according to a sheriff's office news release.
