Courthouse Calendar

The courthouse calendar will carry guilty, not guilty, NP and stet verdicts.

NP (nolle prosequi): A formal entry upon the record by the prosecuting officer in a criminal case by which he declares that he “will no further prosecute” the case.

Stet: Stay of a decision that may not be entered over the defendant’s objection and may be reinstated within the year for trial at the request of either party. After one year’s time, it may be rescheduled only upon good cause shown.

The only district court motor vehicle cases that are published here are those related to impaired driving.

The following charges are dismissed: failure to control vehicle speed on highway to avoid a collision; failure to display license to uniformed police on demand; driving in violation of restricted license requirement; driving while impaired by a controlled dangerous substance; driving while so far impaired by drugs that he cannot drive safely; failure to attach vehicle registration plates at front and rear; displaying expired registration plate; driving without current registration plates and validation tabs; displaying registration plate issued for other vehicle; holder of learner's permit driving without required supervision; driving while license is suspended; unauthorized display and use of registration plate; operating unregistered vehicle; negligent driving; possession of a controlled dangerous substance that is not marijuana; possession of drug paraphernalia; and failure to obey properly placed traffic control device instructions.
