WORTON — Kent County High School’s girls soccer players and their coaches Rachael Gugasian, Ed Stack and Quinn Bowman are staffing a skills camp from 9 a.m. to noon Sunday, Sept. 15 at the school’s practice fields. The camp is for boys and girls of all ages and levels of experience.
The cost is $15 per player. You must register by Sept. 8 by contacting head coach Gugasian at email@example.com.
Stations will vary according to the age and experience of the campers, but likely will include passing, shooting, turning, speed and agility, and first touch.
The tentative schedule is: 9 to 9:30 a.m., meet and greet and a group warm-up; 9:30 to 10 a.m., break into small groups and begin first station; 10 to 10:25 a.m., second station; 10:25 to 10:50 a.m., third station; 10:50 to 11:30 a.m., small sided games; 11:30 to 11:50 a.m., World Cup game; and 11:50 a.m. to noon, wrap-up.
In other news, what is believed to be the first organized alumnae soccer match for the program is set for 11 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 12 at Trojan Stadium. There is a $10 cost if you are interested in a commemorative T-shirt.
