CHESTERTOWN — The next topic of discussion in HomePorts monthly lecture series is “Driving Safety for Older Adults.”

The presentation will be held from 10 a.m. to noon Thursday, Sept. 5 on the second floor of the Chestertown town hall, 118 N. Cross St.

The program is free, but reservations are requested. They can be made by contacting Karen Wright at 443-480-0940 or by emailing Karen@homeports.org.

Talking points include “changes you can make to driving routines that will reduce crash risk as you age,” a news release states.

Other points are how to recognize health changes that typically interfere with safe driving ability, car equipment and devices that assist drivers.

The talk also will highlight driver education, services and mobility options that are available locally.
