CENTREVILLE — Queen Anne’s County Library has been selected as a beneficiary of the Acme Give Back Where It Counts reusable bag program from Aug. 15 to Sept. 30.

The library was selected as the mid-August/September beneficiary by store leadership at the Acme located at 611 Railroad Ave., Centreville.

Queen Anne’s County Library will receive a $1 donation every time the $3 reusable Give Back Where It Counts bag is purchased at this location, unless otherwise directed by the customer through the Giving Tag attached to the bag.

“We are very excited to be chosen for this program. It’s so easy to participate,” said Janet Salazar, director of Queen Anne’s County Library, in a news release. “The money we receive from this great program will go to enhance our services and programs such as our children’s early literacy programs Bouncing Babies and preschool story time and our adult programs like Crime and a Cuppa and Crafty Adults. It’s the support from our community that makes our library so successful.”
