WORTON — While it has not been determined how Kent County Public Schools will reopen from the coronavirus pandemic that shuttered schools in March, high school Athletic Director Kevin Taylor is being proactive by reminding all athletes who intend to play a fall sport that they must have an up-to-date physical in order to participate — and that includes being able to practice.
The first day of practices at Kent County High School is Wednesday, Aug. 12.
No date for orientation has been scheduled.
KCHS has a full complement of head coaches for the fall 2020 season, according to Taylor.
At its meeting Monday, July 13, the Kent County Board of Education unanimously approved the following coaches.
Cheerleading: head coach Jessica Arminio; and paid assistant Elizabeth Rinehart.

Field hockey: head coach Susan Wright-Taylor; paid assistant Gillian Spero; and volunteer assistant Trish McGee.
Football: head coach Dave Boyle; paid assistants Brett King, Justin Jenkins and Jamil Wright; and volunteer assistants Garvin Potts, Kolyn Kirby, Gary Priddy, Ed Myers, Jack Despeaux, Chas Willis and Jason Scheib.
