BALTIMORE — April Lynn Huffer, 35, Chestertown, has been released from the University of Maryland Shock Trauma Center in Baltimore. She was being treated for injuries suffered in a pedestrian involved accident Sept. 22 at the Kent Plaza shopping center.

CHESTERTOWN — The investigation of a single-vehicle crash on Sept. 19 on Fish Hatchery Road in the area of Daniel Black Road is continuing. The vehicle, identified as a mini van, was unoccupied when DFC Dave Nolan arrived on the scene at about 3 p.m.

Subsequently, the van was reported stolen from an address on Fish Hatchery Road, according to police.

CHESTERTOWN — Michael Joseph Conti Jr., 58, Chestertown, on Sept. 19, was charged with driving while under the influence of alcohol; driving while impaired by alcohol; driving on an expired license; driving in violation of license restriction; and failure to drive on the right half of the roadway when required.

He was released after signing the traffic citations.

Conti was charged following a traffic stop at about 7 p.m. on state Route 291 near American Legion Drive.

GALENA — George Wendell Brown, 64, Philadelphia, Pa., on Sept. 19, was charged with driving while under the influence of alcohol; driving while impaired by alcohol; and failure to drive on the right half of the roadway when required.

He was released after signing the traffic citations.

DFC Aquil Freeman conducted the traffic stop at about 8:35 p.m. on state Route 213 near state Route 290.

GALENA — Alysse Nicole Ginn, 31, Earleville, on Sept. 21, was charged with driving while impaired by alcohol; driving while under the influence of alcohol; and driving while so far impaired that she cannot drive safely.

She was released after signing the traffic citations.

Police initially stopped Ginn for speeding. She allegedly was driving 42 mph in a posted 25-mph zone.

Lt. Harry Kettner conducted the traffic stop at 7:44 p.m. on state Route 213 in the area of Dogwood Drive.

GALENA — Drew McGarry Ridgell, 34, Jacksonville, Fla., on Sept. 22, was charged with driving while under the influence of alcohol; driving while under the influence of alcohol per se; and driving while impaired by alcohol.

He was released after signing the traffic citations.

Police initially stopped Ridgell for driving without adequate rear plate illumination.

DFC Collin Shockley conducted the traffic stop at 12:02 a.m. on state Route 313 in the area of state Route 290.

CHESTERTOWN — Donna Marie Gsell, 54, Worton, on Sept. 26, was charged with possession of a controlled dangerous substance that is not marijuana; and possession of drug paraphernalia.

She initially was held in the Kent County Detention Center without bail.

Police initially stopped Gsell for alleged traffic violations. A K-9 scanned the vehicle and alerted to the odor of suspected drugs, according to a sheriff's office news release.

DFC Aquil Freeman conducted the traffic stop at 1:35 p.m. on High Street in the area of Lynchburg Street.
