To the editor: Kudos to everyone involved with the recent presentation of the Rev. Henry Highland Garnet’s legacy to Kent County. And, special thanks to the Kent County News for highlighting the event.

I, for one, was unaware of the Rev. Garnet’s astonishing history.

I agree with others who view the Rev. Garnet as highly deserving of further local substantial recognition. A sculpture in his honor is richly deserved.
