BETTERTON — Tyler Anthony Russo died on Jan. 12, 2021 in Annapolis, Md. He was 25.

He was born in Betterton, MD on November 5, 1995 the son of William Anthony and Karen Elizabeth Russo. Tyler was a graduate of Kent County High School, Class of 2014, where he was part of the swimming, lacrosse and soccer teams. He then graduated from Stevenson University in 2018 with a Bachelor of Science, majoring in business administration. He played lacrosse for Stevenson, where his team won the MAC Division III Championship all four years. He worked for Great Oak Marina, and upon graduation, went to work with Lighthouse Point Marina in Canton. He then began his career in finance, working with New Day USA in Columbia, and most recently, New Res Mortgage Company.

He was an avid boater and athlete. He played lacrosse with Blue Bird Tavern. Tyler was well-known, well-loved and a friend to all. He loved the water, his family, especially his nieces, and his dog Ollie.

Tyler is survived by his parents William A. and Karen Elizabeth Russo; sister Jessie Bonass; beloved nieces Christina, Marley, Gillian and Aisling Bonass; aunts and uncles Susan and Charles Mathews, David and Holly Brendel, Joseph Russo, Linda Gavin, Anna Vogelsang, Carlyn and Joseph Diamond; and maternal grandparents Joseph and Karen Brendel. He also was loved and cherished by Sheila E. Russo, along with many loving cousins.

Funeral services will be held privately and a celebration of his life will be held at a later date when it is safe to do so.
