CHESTERTOWN — Tara Michelle Knapp of Chestertown, MD passed away suddenly on December 20, 2021 at the age of 33. She was born in Bethesda, MD, along with her twin brother Robert A. Knapp, III, to Robert and Jeanette Knapp on July 1, 1988. Tara grew up in a military family with whom she moved frequently for the first part of her life. In 2003, Tara and her family settled in Chestertown, MD, where she graduated from Queen Anne’s County High School in 2006. She went on to pursue a career in cosmetology, specializing in hairstyling and coloring.
Tara is survived by her beloved son, Christopher William; Parents, Capt (ret) USAF Robert A. Knapp, Jr and Jeanette L. (Clark) Knapp; Twin brother, Robert A. Knapp, III; Sister, Jaci A. Miller and husband, Maynard B. Miller Jr, three nieces and one nephew; Grandparents, Zoa Ann (Porter) Beasley, Kenneth R. Beasley, Libby (Bonwill) Knapp, and Howard S. Redman, Jr; Uncles, Billy Clark, David Clark, and Timothy Knapp; and many cousins.
Preceding Tara in death were her grandparents, William E. and Nancy (Stubbs) Clark; Aunt, Debbie Childs; and Grandfather, Robert A. Knapp, Sr.
Tara was known for her selflessness and heart of gold, flawless beauty, beautiful almond-shaped eyes, and her contagious laughter. She enjoyed spending time with family and friends, her dog, Kalee, and the beach. Most of all, she adored her son, Christopher. She loved fiercely and deeply and we take comfort in knowing that Tara is now at peace surrounded by preceded loved ones.
