LYNCH — Sarah Elizabeth Egan of Lynch, Md. died on June 5, 2021. She was 32.

She was born in Ithaca, N.Y. on February 5, 1989, the daughter of James and Lee Ann Egan of Lynch, Md. She was a graduate of Kent County High School, Class of 2007, where she excelled as an athlete in both field hockey and lacrosse. She moved to Hilton Head, S.C., where she began her career as a dog trainer. Sarah continued her work in animal care and moved back to Kent County, working as a dog groomer and pet care worker at The Pet Shop on Kent Island, Chester, Md.

Sarah had a love for all animals — from snakes that she rescued off the road to her beloved rescue dogs Bobbie and Blitzen. She loved doing her makeup, hair and putting on a pair of high heels. She also loved to cook, kayak and spend time with her family and pets.

She is survived by her parents James and Lee Ann Egan; her daughter Jane Marie Cleary; brothers James and William Egan; sisters Mary Kate Ayers (Stuart) and Emily Egan (Kevin); nephew Jackson Ayers; along with her beloved dogs.

Services will be held at noon on Thursday, June 10 at Fellows, Helfenbein, and Newnam Funeral Home in Chestertown. A visitation for friends and family will be held one hour prior from 11 a.m. to the time of the service. Burial will be in Chester Cemetery.
