CAMDEN, DE — Harold S. Benton, Sr. 69 of Camden, DE, formerly of Crumpton, MD passed away on August 31, 2021 at home.

Harold was born on August 25, 1952 in Dover, DE, son of the late Benjamin F. and Anna Rosetta Dixon Benton. He had lived in Queen Anne's County most of his life, where he worked as a mechanic and truck driver for many years. Harold was a life member of Crumpton Vol. Fire Company and Crumpton United Methodist Church. He enjoyed wood working.

Harold is survived by his wife of 43 years, Terri Lee Benton, children, Harold S. Benton, Jr. of Hurlock, David E. Benton (Danya) of Chestertown and Heather L. Capel of Camden, DE; brothers, John F. Benton (Jeanie) of Greensboro and Robert C. Benton (Lynn) of Magnolia, DE; sister Rose A. Maust and Shirley Lee (Gary) both of Barclay; and grandchildren, Dakota Capel, Kirsten Capel, Hailey Benton, Camaron Benton and Josh Tyer.

A viewing will be held on Tuesday, September 7 from 11 to 12 pm in the Galena Funeral Home of Stephen L. Schaech, Galena, MD, where service will begin at 12 pm. Burial will be held in Crumpton Cemetery.
