CHURCH HILL — George David Everett was born May 23, 1944 to Oscar Sr. and Mable Everett in Sudlersville, MD.

George started his career at Buchanan Firestone and then at Al Barrow's Texaco Station on Governors Avenue Dover, Delaware. He also worked for Burris Foods in Harrington, Eric Hobbs Trucking in Viola and ended his retirement with Hollingsworth Trucking in Maryland. He was a member of United Tour Riders.

He was preceded in death by a daughter Peggy J. Everett. Also preceded in death one brother Oscar Everett Jr., four sisters Anna Mae Christy, Betty Ann Wooters, Ella Jennings and Elsie Marker. Survivors are fiancé Nancy Lister, a daughter Paula Everett and her fiancé Joey Leslie. He is also survived by his precious granddaughter Jessica Hengst. He is survived by many nieces and nephews.

Services will be held on Thursday August 26 at 11:00 am at Helfenbein and Newnam Funeral Home 130 Speer Rd Chestertown where relatives and friends may call one hour prior. Burial will be in Sharon Hills Cemetery. Donations may be made to the National Association for Down's Syndrome at in honor of his granddaughter Jessica, or to Saving Future Feral Cats at 205 Bay City Rd, Stevensville, MD 21666.
