Superintendent Karen Couch discusses Kent County Public Schools’ funding woes Monday, Jan. 9 with the board of education.

ROCK HALL — The Kent County Board of Education will officially begin the consolidation process Tuesday, Jan. 17 with a workshop aimed at ironing the details of closing two elementary schools.

At their meeting Monday, Jan. 9, board members agreed to hold the workshop at 5:30 p.m. at the Kent County Public Schools central office in Rock Hall. The public is invited to attend but not participate; a public hearing will be held at a later date.

Dear Editor: Please note that the word "shelf" is a noun. Therefore, in paragraph 6, I do believe the word you are searching for is the verb "shelve." It's a bit disconcerting to find this error in an article on education.
