KENNEDYVILLE — Rock Hall resident Joann Carol Supik was fatally injured in a two-vehicle crash on state Route 213 in the Kennedyville area Monday afternoon, according to Maryland State Police.

A news release states that troopers from the Centreville barrack responded at about 3:21 p.m. to the reported crash on Route 213 south of Vansant Corner Road.

Police said a 2008 Buick Lucerne and a 2004 Ford Expedition collided head on. Police said Supik, 70, was driving the Buick. Still Pond resident Brooke Lynn Shaw, 33, was the reported driver of the Ford.

Supik was reportedly pronounced deceased on the scene.

Paul Supik, the front seat passenger of the Buick, and Shaw were flown by a Maryland State Police helicopter to the University of Maryland Shock Trauma Center in Baltimore, the release states.

A hospital spokesperson on Wednesday afternoon listed Paul Supik and Shaw as in serious condition.

According to Maryland State Police, the Buick traveled across the double yellow center lane dividers for unknown reasons into the northbound lane, where it collided with the Ford.

Troopers were still reportedly investigating the crash when the news release was issued late Monday night.
