CHESTERTOWN — Ronald Sanford Jordan, 65, Chestertown, on Feb. 5, was charged with driving while impaired by alcohol; and driving while under the influence of alcohol.

He was released on personal recognizance.

The charges were filed after a single-vehicle accident around 4:30 a.m. in the 7000-block of Airy Hill Road. Police reported that Jordan was treated at the scene for minor injuries.

CRUMPTON — Kendall Markevis Flowers, 30, Wilmington, Del., on Jan. 30, was issued a citation for possession of marijuana, less than 10 grams. He also was charged with driving on a suspended out-of-state license; driving on a revoked out-of-state license; and speeding.

Flowers was released on personal recognizance, advised not to drive, and to be picked up by a licensed driver, according to a sheriff's office news release.

Police initially stopped Flowers for speeding; he allegedly was driving 72 mph in a posted 55-mph zone.

DFC Roger Brown reported that while conducting a roadside interview, he smelled marijuana. Suspected marijuana was located during a probable cause search.

When a license and wanted check was conducted, police determined that Flowers' license was suspended and revoked, according to a sheriff's office news release.

DFC Brown conducted the traffic stop at 1:34 a.m. on U.S. Route 301 and state Route 544.

CHESTERTOWN — Sherri Lynne Thomason, 39, Chestertown, on Feb. 1, was issued a citation for possession of marijuana, less than 10 grams.

She also was charged with exceeding the posted maximum speed.

Police initially stopped Thomason for speeding; she allegedly was driving 45 mph in a posted 25-mph zone.

DFC Amy McCullough reported that while conducting a roadside interview, she smelled marijuana from inside Thomason's vehicle. Suspected marijuana was located during a probable cause search, according to a sheriff's office news release.

DFC McCullough conducted the traffic stop at 2:39 p.m. on Pine Tree Road at Spring Road. Deputy Joseph Miller assisted.

SUDLERSVILLE — Chelsea Lynn Kochaba, 30, Camden-Wyoming, Del., on Feb. 3, was charged with possession of a controlled dangerous substance that is not marijuana; possession of a narcotic with intent to distribute; and reckless endangerment.

She also was issued traffic citations charging her with driving at speed exceeding the limit; and driving on a suspended out-of-state license.

Police initially stopped Kochaba for speeding; she allegedly was driving 72 mph in a 50-mph zone. 

A license and wanted check indicated that Kochaba was driving on a suspended license and there was an open warrant for her arrest, according to a sheriff's office news release.

A K-9 scan was requested, and K-9 Tiger alerted to the odor of suspected drugs, police reported.

Suspected methamphetamine was located during a probable cause search.

DFC Roger Brown conducted the traffic stop at 3:32 p.m. on state Route 300 and Busic Church Road. DFC Marybeth Barlow, DFC Joe Patikowski and K-9 Tiger assisted.
